Reclamation
Mining is temporary, reclamation is forever. At AFS, we take pride in reclaiming our sites to fit in with the surrounding environment for future generations. We have successfully reclaimed sites into water reservoirs, recreational water bodies, and uplands.
Environment
We employ environment controls such as water sprays on process equipment, water trucks and sweepers to minimize dust on roads and settling ponds to protect water quality.
Wildlife
Active and reclaimed AFS sites provide habitat for a variety of wildlife including eagles, deer, and bighorn sheep.
Community
AFS and our employees believe in making a positive impact in the communities where we live, work and play. Whether through in-kind or financial donations we frequently give back to schools, parks, waterways and deserving organizations throughout Adams County, Clear Creek County and the State of Colorado.
